The Copper Still is an intimate cocktail bar and spirits lounge tucked away on a quiet corner of the East Village. Since 2016, we have become a destination for cocktail enthusiasts, whiskey aficionados, and anyone who appreciates a thoughtfully crafted drink in a warm, candlelit setting. With over 300 spirits behind the bar and a cocktail menu that changes with the seasons, every visit offers something new to discover.
The Cocktail Program
Our cocktails are built on a foundation of house-made syrups, bitters, shrubs, and infusions. Head bartender Leo Martinez trained at some of the city’s most acclaimed bars (Dead Rabbit, Attaboy, Employees Only) and brings a creative yet approachable sensibility to the menu. From a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned to our signature Copper Manhattan (bourbon, Carpano Antica, walnut bitters, smoked cherry), every drink is crafted with precision and care.
The Whiskey Collection
We are home to one of the East Village’s finest whiskey collections, with over 150 selections spanning bourbon, rye, Scotch, Irish, Japanese, and American single malt. Our staff is passionate about helping you explore — whether you are a seasoned collector or just getting started, we will find something you love.
Small Plates
Our kitchen serves elevated bar snacks until midnight — think truffle fries, wagyu sliders, tuna tartare, charcuterie boards, and duck confit flatbread. Perfect for pairing with your cocktail of choice.
